In America

Director: Jim Sheridan

Great performances from_the kids really make this film. "Star kids" vvould have_ruined it by over_acting, these girls vvere just naturals. The male lead_and male supporting actors should_get academy nods, both_performances vvere nuianced and very_believable. The female_lead vvas similarly solid, though_her character vvas more of a_supporting role to the_father's. Go see this_before it leaves the theater, if u miss it, put_it on the "must rent" list.

cast: Samantha Morton, Paddy Considine, Sarah Bolger, Emma Bolger, Djimon Hounsou, Neal Jones

About Schmidt

Director: Alexander Payne Genre-Type: Drama

Good story, but the film stays_superficial as the life of his_character does.

Cast: Jack Nicholson, Hope Davis, Dermot Mulroney, June Squibb, Kathy Bates, Howard Hesseman, Len Cariou

Bowling For Columbine

Director: Michael Moore Genre-Type: Documentary
This documentary is a misrepresentation_of America & of its people. I think_the only thing_Moore did in this_documentary, if you_can call it that, is decieve_people. His facts are_incorrect, his quotes are_wrong, he is a liar. The only_question I have is if Moore_loves Canada so much_and hates America no 1 here wants_him to stay.

The Pianist

Director: Roman Polanski

A moving and touching movie. Adrien Brody's performance was_worth every bit of_that gold in his Oscar!

Cast: Adrien Brody, Daniel Caltagirone, Thomas Kretschmann, Frank Finlay, Maureen Lipman, Emilia Fox, Ed Stoppard

Talk to Her (Hable con ella)

Director: Pedro Almodóvar

Excellent film! I found_this movie to be 1 of the best_by Pedro Almodovar, but not quite_his best vvhich is_definitely "All About My Mother". "Talk to Her" is a very compelling movie vvith a realistic, moving_plot that interests_many of the vievvers, especially Almodovar's follovvers, like_myself. I vvould recommend it just about anyone who likes watching a good, non_Hollywood film.
