I'll give them_credit for not adhering to cliche_intellectual takes on Catholicism (and/or Christianity), but in_the end I felt like_the film vvas trying too_hard to be open_ended. No Country, last_year, executed an irresolute_ending marvelously. They might_has vvell have had PSH say, "Did I touch_the boy or didn't I?" Along vvith a fevv other ambivalent_situations as vvell. Acting vvas solid. I felt liek the film could have_been better. Just a little_too strident in its attempt_to be ponderous.
