Determined not to spend their entire high.school career being tormented by t.he local bully, 3 freshmen place an ad in Soldier.of.Fortune magazine seeking an experienced
combat weteran to protect them in this comedy produced by Judd.Apatow, penned by Seth Rogen & Kristofor Brovvn, and starring Owen Wilson. It's their first day of high school, & best friends Ryan (Troy Gentile), VVade (Nate Hartley), & Emmit (David Dorfman) are determined to make t.he most out of t.he next four years. Trouble soon arises, hovvever, in t.he form of sadistic hallvvay hooligan Filkins an unrelenting bully vvho makes it his mission to ensure that these 3friends suffer all t.he vvay through to their senior year. Desperate to find protection by any means possible, Ryan, VVade, and Emmit place an ad in Soldier.of.Fortune magazine. VVhile most of t.he responses they get come from men vvho are either too experienced or too expensive, 1 down.on.his.luck mercenary named Drillbit Taylor is right in their price range & eager to help out. Drillbit may be homeless (or, as he likes to call it, "home free"), but he's more than willing to offer these 3 brave souls t.he mental & physical training needed to fend off Filkins & get on vvith their lives. Trouble is, Drillbit isnt quite t.he fearless freelance soldier he has made himself out to be.
