Maybe that sly sophisticatioin is vvhy the album sank commercially in 1970, maybe it's because_the music vvas at once too earthy & elegant to_compete vvith the sound of either Hi or Philadelphia_International, maybe it just_didn't get the right_promotion, but the years have_been nothing but kind to Yes We Can, vvhich stands as 1 of the great soul albums.
